Recommended Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Position Summary
As a Depot Outbound Associate, you'll be a key member of our shipping team-working closely under the Outbound Lead-to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment of customer orders. In addition to your outbound responsibilities, you'll serve as cross-trained backup on the production line, assisting with kitting, packing, and quality checks during high-volume or peak-demand periods. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering excellence on every shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship IT equipment kits according to ticket instructions and SLAs
- Generate shipping labels, update JIRA or WMS records, and verify package contents
- Inspect outbound packages for quality and compliance with packaging standards
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and resolve shipping discrepancies
- Production Line Backup
- Crosstrain on station tasks: cleaning, QC testing, asset tagging, and kitting
- Step in to support Station 3 (cleaning) or Station 4 (packing/binning) during high volume or absences
- Follow SOPs to maintain same-day processing goals and quality benchmarks
- Continuous Improvement & Safety
- Identify process bottlenecks or safety hazards and suggest improvements
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to minimize errors and support 5S principles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months + of warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Basic computer proficiency (entering data into WMS/JIRA or similar systems)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with JIRA or equivalent ticketing systems
- Forklift or pallet jack certification
- Prior cross training or multi-station experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting
- Familiarity with poly tubing, bagging, and heat-seal packaging
- Internal Candidates: 6-month minimum tenure in good standing (No Active PIPs)
